DURGA COMES HOME!!
Samhati celebrates Durga Puja 2024 (with a new Idol) !
SAMHATI is a NON-PROFIT organization, engaged in social events which are inclusive of diversities we see from India. SAMHATI brings the community together in several social events like Christmas, New Year and Fall Picnic etc. We celebrate DURGA PUJA, which is one of the main celebrations of Bengali community around the world and our biggest platform for that inclusiveness.
SAMHATI is dedicated to show and share the LOVE between individuals and community and built on SHARING & CARING principles and we would like to extend this inclusiveness for bigger NWA communities.
SAMHATI is a platform for local talents to come together and showcase. We promote creativity through decoration, cultural events such as singing, dancing, recital, drama. We try to make these activities as a platform for diverse community of NWA to come together and celebrate.

"I was able to attend the Durga Puja celebrations conducted by Samhati in 2023. I grew up in India and was always attracted by the pomp and devotion with which the goddess is celebrated there. Samhati has successfully kept that particular lamp burning bright here in Northwest Arkansas. The idols are specially made and brought from India adding to the authentic feel of Pujo. Everyone was dressed in traditional attire with all the regular prashad and rituals in full swing. For a moment, I was taken back to India. The event was very smoothly organized by the volunteers. For me personally, as an educator, I was happy to see an area where children were kept busy. Oftentimes, children feel lost in a long and crowded environment and having an outlet where they could be engaged, especially with art, was very thoughtful. Hope to visit again next year."

"Thank you for your gift. Your gift is going to have double the impact because it is going to be matched by Anthony Black.
Your support will help ensure every child who comes to the Shelter leaves better equipped to take on life’s challenges and learns how to build trusting relationships.
NWACS is not just an emergency care facility, but a safe, nurturing home in which children receive individually tailored, trauma-centered care and support for future growth.
Thank you for changing the future for hundreds of children throughout our community and the state.
Thank you for giving the gift of HOPE.
Because of you every child has the chance to dream again - to hope again -and to imagine a future brighter than they ever thought possible."

Goddess DURGA is an epitome of women empowerment, symbolic of triumph over evil. This festive event is inclusive of all communities from India.
Durga Puja coincides with Navaratri and Dussehra celebrated through out the World in Europe, Australia, Asian countries and North America.
SAMHATI celebrated Durga Puja since 2011 and extending this event to various communities living in NWA. The next big step is to make it a bigger platform and come together as a diversified NWA community.
SAMHATI would like to express enough gratitude to our sponsors for supporting us and building the partnership, which has been an incredible benefit to our team and organization. We are so grateful for your kindness.
